Privacy Policy

How PixMusic handles your music, connected accounts and optional iCloud synchronization.

1. Scope and maintainer

This policy explains how PixMusic and this website handle information. PixMusic is a music player for files and services you choose to connect. The PixMusic maintainer can be contacted at support@netmusicapp.com.

You do not need a separate PixMusic account. Connecting a cloud drive or music server uses that provider's account and authorization process.

2. Information on your device

PixMusic stores information needed to build your library and play your music on your device:

  • Source settings, server addresses, usernames, account display names, avatars and provider account identifiers.
  • File and folder references, song titles, artists, albums, audio metadata, artwork and lyrics.
  • Personal playlists, favorites, playback history, play counts, playback position, preferences and download records.
  • Music files you import or download, and audio, artwork and lyrics caches.

These records support browsing, playback, offline access and restoring your local playback session. Music is read from sources you select; it is not uploaded to a music library operated by the PixMusic maintainer.

3. Cloud drives and credentials

Supported sources include Baidu Netdisk, Google Drive, OneDrive, WebDAV, SMB, FTP and Subsonic-compatible services such as Navidrome. Requests go to the provider or server you connect and may include authorization credentials, file references and the network information needed to deliver a response. The provider can process those requests under its own privacy policy.

Server passwords and OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored in Apple's Keychain. They are used to sign in, refresh authorization and access the connected source. Removing a source or signing out removes its stored authorization through the app's source controls. You can also revoke access in your provider's account settings.

Account profile information is used to identify connected accounts in the app. Baidu Netdisk can provide a display name, avatar, account identifier and membership status. OneDrive can provide a name, email information, account identifier and avatar.

Google Drive

Google Drive authorization requests read-only Drive access together with basic profile and email access. PixMusic reads file and folder information and the music, lyrics and artwork you select for library browsing, playback and downloads. Your Google name or email, profile picture and account identifier help distinguish connected accounts. PixMusic does not modify your Google Drive files.

Google credentials stay in Keychain unless you explicitly enable the optional iCloud synchronization described below. Supported source configurations and credentials can then be restored on your devices through your private iCloud account. Google API data is not used for advertising, sold or used to train generalized AI models.

PixMusic's use of Google API data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

4. Optional iCloud synchronization

iCloud synchronization is optional. Before the first upload, you must enable it in the app and confirm the disclosure. Supported data is stored in your CloudKit private database and iCloud Keychain, associated with your Apple account:

  • Source configurations, song and folder selections, and personal playlists with song references and order.
  • Long-lived server passwords and supported OAuth credentials in iCloud Keychain.
  • Server passwords and Baidu Netdisk, Google Drive and OneDrive authorization tokens in encrypted CloudKit fields, so compatible devices using the same Apple account can reconnect while authorization remains valid.

This sync does not upload audio files, downloads, caches, favorites, playback history, playback state, general settings, device filters, indexing cursors, server-owned playlists, metadata edits or custom artwork. Reconnecting a synchronized source can separately download its library from that source.

You can pause or disable synchronization. Doing so keeps existing local and cloud data. Use Delete Synced Content and Credentials in the iCloud settings to remove the synchronized dataset and credential copies. Local music and local credentials are kept; a minimal reset marker can remain in iCloud to prevent old devices from restoring the deleted dataset.

Apple operates iCloud and Keychain. Their availability and processing are subject to Apple's privacy policy and your Apple account settings.

5. Music servers, lyrics and artwork

When you connect Subsonic or Navidrome, PixMusic retrieves your server's library, artwork and lyrics. Playback can report a song identifier and play time to that server (scrobbling). Favorites and supported server playlist operations can also be sent back to the connected server. These operations are associated with your server account.

Lyrics and artwork can come from your files, embedded audio tags or the source's server. PixMusic does not send your song library to a separate public lyrics-matching service.

6. Local network and Wi-Fi transfer

Local network permission lets PixMusic discover or connect to local SMB, WebDAV, FTP and music servers, and host the Wi-Fi transfer page. When you start Wi-Fi transfer, the app runs an HTTP service on your device for uploading supported music and lyrics files and viewing the current transfer's file list. Files are stored on your device.

The transfer page uses unencrypted HTTP. Use a trusted local network and stop Wi-Fi transfer when finished. Connections to your own servers use the protocol and address you configure; HTTP and ordinary FTP connections do not provide HTTPS-style transport protection.

7. Purchases, support and diagnostics

Apple's App Store and StoreKit process purchases. PixMusic checks the purchase entitlement to unlock Pro and restore access. The app does not receive your payment card details. App Store update checks can send the app's bundle identifier and storefront country to Apple's lookup service.

If you contact support, the maintainer receives your email address and what you choose to send. An in-app feedback draft can include the app and system versions; you review and send it through your mail app. Use support messages for troubleshooting and avoid sending passwords, tokens or unrelated private files.

PixMusic uses local system logs for operational diagnostics. It does not include advertising, behavioral analytics or a third-party crash-reporting SDK. Device diagnostics that you choose to share with Apple are handled through Apple's services and settings.

8. This website

This website is hosted through Cloudflare. Delivering pages and protecting the service can involve network request information such as IP address, requested URL, request time and browser information. Cloudflare handles this information under its privacy policy; retention depends on the hosting service and its settings.

The website includes no advertising, analytics scripts, tracking pixels or account registration. Its pages do not use application cookies or browser storage. Following an external link takes you to that provider's website and policy.

9. Retention and your choices

Local library records and downloaded files remain until you remove them using the app's controls or remove the app's local data. Smart caches can be evicted automatically or cleared in Cache Settings; clearing smart cache keeps manual downloads. Source removal can clear the app's associated local index, caches and downloads without deleting the original media from the connected server.

Deleting the app alone should not be treated as revoking provider authorization or deleting Keychain or iCloud data. Revoke connected-provider access in that provider's settings, and use the separate iCloud deletion control when needed. Operating-system backups and third-party services have their own retention controls.

Support correspondence is retained as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable obligations. To request access, correction or deletion of information held by the maintainer, contact support@netmusicapp.com. Data held by Apple, Cloudflare or a connected source may require a request to that provider. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising tracking.

10. Children and policy changes

PixMusic is a general-purpose music player. Where local law requires a parent or guardian's involvement, use the app and connected services with that involvement. Do not send children's personal information to support unnecessarily.

We will update this page when data practices change and show the new effective date. A material change that requires consent will be presented before the affected processing begins. Contact the PixMusic maintainer at support@netmusicapp.com with questions.
